Following the success of its first "Rebuild of Evangelion" series, BANDAI GASHAPON, the capsule toy division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., is set to release the highly anticipated second installment of its "ASSORT" lottery-style capsule toy collection. Titled "Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time ASSORT 02," this popular lineup is scheduled to launch in late August 2021, featuring a total of 17 unique items at a reference price of 300 JPY per play.
Bandai GASHAPON's "ASSORT" (あそーと) series is renowned for categorizing its capsule toy products into different prize tiers—A-Prize, B-Prize, and C-Prize—offering a variety of collectibles such as mini figures, pins, and charms. It's often dubbed the "Ichiban Kuji of capsule toys." This latest collection brings to life characters from "Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time" in their deep-sea pressure-resistant prototype plugsuits (white plugsuits). The lineup includes:
- A-Prize: Three 5cm chibi-style character figures featuring Rei Ayanami, Asuka Shikinami Langley, and Mari Illustrious Makinami.
- B-Prize: Four types of rubber keychains.
- C-Prize: Ten types of collectible badges.
