Japanese toy company Kotobukiya today (the 25th) announced two new Kotobukiya Shop exclusive products from their popular "ARTFX J" series, featuring characters from "Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters": Yami Yugi and Seto Kaiba. This article will focus on the product details for the "Yami Yugi -Destiny Duel!!-" 1/7 scale PVC pre-painted figure.
Standing approximately 24 cm tall, this figure perfectly captures the moment the other Yugi draws a card from his deck, his right hand raised high and an unwavering gaze fixed forward, as if it's the game-changing ace he's been waiting for! The intricate details are faithfully recreated, from his iconic spiky hair and the Millennium Puzzle hanging from its chain, to the Duel Disk on his left arm and the Millennium Eye symbol on his forehead. The dynamic sculpt of his flowing coat, the three-dimensional texture of his pants, and the gradient coloring of his hair are all excellently rendered. Viewing the figure from below further emphasizes the strength and charisma of the King of Games!
Originally released in 2012, this Yami Yugi figure, alongside its Seto Kaiba counterpart (released in 2013), is getting a re-release in January 2022. This offers collectors who missed out a chance to acquire them again. Pair him with the "Seto Kaiba -Destiny Duel!!-" figure to recreate their classic rival battle!
