TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectible toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS, announced on the 25th that Golza from "Ultraman Tiga" is joining its popular "S.H.Figuarts" action figure line. The new "S.H.Figuarts Golza" figure is scheduled for release in January 2022.
First appearing in the premiere episode of "Ultraman Tiga," the classic Kaiju Golza is known as the earth-shaking Ultra-Ancient Monster. After dwelling underground since ancient times, it emerged beneath the Mongolian plains as a vanguard of the evil god Gatanothor and launched an attack on human civilization. Golza boasts rock-hard skin and powerful muscles, allowing it to move quickly underground and dominate at close range. It can also fire a devastating Ultrasonic Beam from its forehead.
The "S.H.Figuarts Golza" figure was developed with assistance from LSS, the modeling department at Tsuburaya Productions. Its highly accurate head sculpt was created using 3D scans of the original Kaiju suit, while the body faithfully captures Golza's coarse skin texture and hulking musculature. Numerous points of articulation provide a wide range of movement. The seamless-style tail is made from soft vinyl to replicate the look and feel of the original suit, with an internal wire that allows it to bend freely.
