Leading Japanese statue manufacturer Prime 1 Studio, under their high-quality "HD Museum Masterline" series, has unveiled an impressive Dante Standard Version and the ultimate "Dante BLACK LABEL" 1/2 scale statues, both based on "Devil May Cry 5." These highly anticipated pieces are slated for limited release between November 2022 and February 2023.
The protagonist of the "Devil May Cry" series, Dante, is a half-demon, half-human hybrid, born to the legendary demon knight Sparda and a human woman named Eva. He has a twin brother named Vergil. Ostensibly running a 'handyman' business called 'Devil May Cry,' he secretly operates as a 'Devil Hunter,' eliminating troublesome demons. While he often appears disheveled, his demon-slaying skills are unparalleled. Throughout the series, he wields a variety of demonic weapons, engaging in unrestrained combat, and can unleash his inner demonic power through "Devil Trigger."
The "HD Museum Masterline Dante Black Label" 1/2 scale statue shares the same impressive dimensions as the Standard Version, standing approximately 109 cm tall and 63 cm wide. Beyond its overwhelming scale, bringing Dante to life in three dimensions, it features an ultra-high-spec, hyper-realistic silicone head sculpt. This sculpt meticulously elevates Dante's already incredibly lifelike facial contours and features from the game. Every detail, from pores and fine lines to wrinkles and even age spots (?), is intricately rendered. Individual synthetic hairs are hand-rooted for his hair and stubble, perfectly capturing his rugged, silver-gray locks and stylish yet unkempt look! Realistic glass eyes give his gaze an even sharper and more vivid intensity. (Note: A resin head sculpt, identical to the Standard Version, is also included.)
