Japanese model maker MEGAHOUSE recently announced the latest addition to its original articulated figure line, the "DESKTOP ARMY" series, with the new "DESKTOP SINGER Snow Miku Series" slated for a February 2022 release.
Snow Miku serves as an ambassador promoting winter tourism in Hokkaido, accompanied by her adorable Ezo snow rabbit pet, Rabbit Yukine. Crypton Future Media, the company that planned and developed Hatsune Miku, is based in Sapporo, Hokkaido. Starting with the "Hatsune Miku Snow Sculpture" created for the 2010 Sapporo Snow Festival, the highly popular virtual singer Hatsune Miku began her beautiful connection with snowy Sapporo. Each year, alongside the traditional winter event "Sapporo Snow Festival," a vibrant "Snow Miku Festival" is also held to support Hokkaido.
The "DESKTOP SINGER Snow Miku Series" not only features the annual Snow Miku but also dresses fellow virtual singers Kagamine Rin and Megurine Luka in seasonal SNOW.ver white outfits. Standing approximately 8cm tall, these figures boast extensive articulation and come with instruments and speakers designed with imagery that blends their original costume characteristics with winter scenery!
By combining the speaker parts from all three characters, collectors can recreate the dazzling "FULL SPEAKER MODE"! Furthermore, the figures are compatible with other DESKTOP ARMY series weapons and accessories, allowing for countless custom configurations!
