Kotobukiya, a renowned Japanese toy brand, has unveiled its latest addition to the "ARTFX Artist Series": a 1/7 scale PVC pre-painted figure of "Darth Vader - Perfect Evil -" from "Star Wars." This stunning piece is a collaboration with Japanese manga artist Hiromoto Shinichi (森一), and is slated for release in March 2022.

Manga artist Hiromoto Shinichi (real name Hiroshi Morii) is celebrated for his powerful, bold art style and his knack for crafting unique, eerie worldviews, evident in works like "Fortress School," "Hell Angel," and "GOGO HEAVEN." Notably, Hiromoto Shinichi also penned a Star Wars manga centered on Darth Vader titled "Darth Vader: Perfect Evil." This story, set between the Battle of Yavin in "A New Hope" and the Battle of Hoth in "The Empire Strikes Back," chronicles Darth Vader's journey with his apprentice, Tao.

Standing approximately 40 cm tall, this figure masterfully captures Hiromoto Shinichi's incredibly powerful rendition of Darth Vader. The exaggerated, muscular physique and reinterpreted classic helmet exude a strong personal style, making this version of Vader feel like he could crush enemies with sheer physical force alone, no need for the Force! Interestingly, the helmet's eyes are sculpted with a subtle, almost emotional distortion. The intricate details of the life support system on his chest and abdomen, along with his belt, are meticulously crafted. With his cape and lightsaber dramatically splayed across the base, the figure evokes an atmosphere distinct from the iconic Obi-Wan defeat scene in "A New Hope."

▼ The figure also comes with an exclusive illustration card drawn by Hiromoto Shinichi – super cool!
