BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS, in collaboration with Japanese master sculptor Takayuki Takeya, has unveiled a new addition to their Star Wars-themed action figure line, the "MEISHO MOVIE REALIZATION" series. Following the previous Ronin Mandalorian, the latest release is the "Ronin Mandalorian (Beskar Armor) & Grogu" action figure, inspired by "The Mandalorian," revealed today (31st).
This new iteration of the MEISHO "Ronin Mandalorian" features a design centered around silver Beskar armor. The most significant departure from the previous release is the absence of a cape. All the armor pieces and equipment across the body are newly sculpted, offering a fresh take. The reinterpreted iconic helmet looks incredibly cool, and the heavy feel of the armor is excellently conveyed. For Grogu, his in-show sand-colored burlap attire has been transformed into a mini-robe with a belt, and he sports a hairstyle reminiscent of the "kanmuri-shita-mage" worn by ancient Japanese men – absolutely adorable! Furthermore, his floating pram has been reimagined as a wooden cart, strongly evoking the classic Japanese work "Lone Wolf and Cub" (Kozure Ōkami).
