Hey everyone, today we're diving into an unboxing and review of the Hot Toys Iron Man Mark LXXXV (or MK85 for short).
This MK85 suit made its debut in "Avengers: Endgame" and is famously Tony Stark's final armor in the film. As we all know, Tony sacrificed himself to save everyone, making this particular suit incredibly significant.
Of course, manufacturers wouldn't miss such a prime opportunity. Besides the standard version we're unboxing today, a battle-damaged version is also slated for release. I'll definitely be reviewing that one too when it arrives, hoping the production run lives up to expectations.
Let's get to the photos!
The shipper box features the iconic Arc Reactor design. The main art box showcases a cosmic galaxy background, a fitting nod to the "Avengers" saga's universe-spanning scale.

Detail breakdown:
Many collectors reported issues with the left shoulder armor being too wide or popping back up on the first batch of this MK85 figure. Since I received a second batch production, it seems Hot Toys might have addressed this, as I haven't encountered any uncontrolled shoulder movement during my unboxing and posing.
(The photos might make it look slightly open, but upon re-examining the actual figure while writing this, I realized it was just a posing issue during photography.)

I find the back sculpt particularly stunning, and there's a small articulated section. While it's a minor detail, any bit of articulation is welcome!

The skirt armor, as usual, features an articulated design to facilitate leg movement. Some collectors have reported issues with the skirt armor not closing flush; my left skirt also has a slight gap.
However, it's so minor that it's practically unnoticeable when displayed, so I've chosen to overlook it.

The foot articulation is quite good, allowing the feet to naturally sit flat on the ground in various poses without looking awkward.

Additional hand sculpts:
Repulsor blast hands and fully articulated hands.

Key accessory:
The Nano Gauntlet arm with all the Infinity Stones.

The impressive nano-tech weaponry seen during the battle with Thanos.

Compared to the impressive accessories above, the display base feels a bit plain.

When lit up, there are quite a few light-up points, meaning a good number of batteries are required (for the head, body, both hands, and both feet).

That pretty much covers the contents! While Hot Toys has faced some recent PR challenges, looking purely at the product itself, I still consider the MK85 an excellent figure.
Its significance as Tony's final armor also adds considerable commemorative value. The MK1 recently received a die-cast upgrade and went up for pre-order. If you're on a budget and can't collect every Iron Man suit, grabbing the MK1 and MK85 would be a great way to have a "start-to-finish" collection! LOL.
