Bandai's Gashapon division, known for its highly popular "Waiting Animals" capsule toy series, is back with a brand new sixth installment! Following the release of Volume 1, Volume 2, Volume 3, Volume 4, and Volume 5, "Waiting Animals 6" (まちぼうけ 6) makes its debut. The series features five types, each priced at 300 JPY per play, with an estimated release in September 2021.
The adorable "Waiting Animals 6" capsule toys continue the series' signature style, anthropomorphizing animals into poses where they tuck their feet in and rest their hands on their knees, as if patiently, almost sadly, waiting. This sixth wave features a lineup of five animals: the world's largest living fish, the Whale Shark; an Otter; a pink, pink Pig; a Tortoise that looks ready for a fight; and the endangered Sand Cat. Measuring approximately 5 cm at their largest, these figures not only capture the distinct waiting poses but also feature subtly vacant expressions. The Tortoise's deliberately comical "sitting" pose is arguably the highlight of this release!
