Japan's high-end statue manufacturer Prime 1 Studio, known for its "Premium Masterline" series, previously released stunning pieces like "Sauron," "Gandalf VS Balrog," "Aragorn," "Uruk-hai Berserker," "Legolas," "Lurtz," and "Frodo & Gollum." Now, they've unveiled a new addition from "The Lord of the Rings": the Nazgûl 1/4 scale statue Bonus Version! It's slated for release between November 2022 and February 2023.
The Nazgûl, servants of the Dark Lord Sauron, made an indelible impression on audiences with their ethereal, terrifying forms and piercing shrieks in their debut in "The Fellowship of the Ring." Among these nine Ringwraiths, several were once powerful human kings. While they initially enjoyed immense wealth and power by accepting the Nine Rings, these very rings eventually led to their subjugation by Sauron, the creator of the One Ring, transforming them into his most evil and fearsome servants. In the Black Speech of Mordor, they are known as "Nazgûl."
Standing approximately 66 cm (26 inches) tall, this piece features a single Nazgûl atop a stone wall. The base itself is incredibly elaborate, incorporating three additional Nazgûl wielding longswords – truly a dark servant bundle deal! The main Nazgûl figure meticulously recreates its flowing black cloak and armored hands. Every detail, from the tattered fabric and weathered grime to the aggressive, sharp lines and metallic texture of the armor, is faithfully rendered. Notably, the runes etched around the outer edge of the base, reminiscent of those appearing on the One Ring, powerfully convey the lore that the Nazgûl are eternally bound as Sauron's servants.
▼ Additionally, purchasing from the official Prime 1 Studio online store includes an exclusive bonus: an interchangeable right hand holding a longsword, allowing for an even more imposing dual-wielding display!
