T9G, whose real name is Takuji Honda, derives his artist moniker from the Japanese pronunciation of his given name. Throughout his extensive career, T9G has created a diverse array of monster characters. These include the powerful Rangeas, the adorable Kotaro, the incredibly soothing Nekotaro, and the recently highlighted Rangeas Jr. He has also collaborated with other designers like Shoko Nakazawa and Kasing Lung on popular figures such as Rangeron and Labubu Rangeas. Each of these creations consistently sells out at lightning speed, making them highly sought-after collectibles.
Undoubtedly, the most thrilling reveal at this exhibition was the "Ironclad Rangeas," which had been teased recently and finally made its debut in its first colorway, blank body versions, and various customized editions! Furthermore, T9G's immensely popular Rangeas character was showcased in powerful, large-scale sculptural pieces. The exhibition also featured a wide range of paintings in diverse styles and sizes. Fans truly had a feast for their eyes, and we highly recommend experiencing it in person if you get the chance.
▼ T9G also collaborated with Japanese artist SIGE (Shigeki Matsuyama) for the "UNSETTLE" exhibition, jointly creating two paintings and several sofubi figures.
