Finally Assemble the Emperor Dragon! PLAMAX Steel Jacket Sen-Oh-Maru Arriving in December

Max Factory's popular and diverse plastic model kit line, PLAMAX, announced today the fifth entry in its Steel Jacket series from "Shin Mashin Hero Wataru": the "Steel Jacket Sen-Oh-Maru," scheduled for release in December 2021.

The Steel Jacket Mashin series originates from the 1989 OVA "Shin Mashin Hero Wataru: Soukaizan-hen," which was released in conjunction with Takara's "Mashin Collection" model kit line. In the story, the legendary and most powerful Mashin, the "Emperor Dragon," is sealed atop Mt. Soukai. Its golden body can separate into gleaming "Steel Jackets," which can be equipped by Mashins like Ryu-Oh-Maru, Sen-Oh-Maru, Jaku-maru, Gen-Oh-Maru, and Ku-Oh-Maru to grant them a massive power boost. By combining the power of all five Steel Jacket Mashins, they can unleash the ultimate finishing move, the "Koryu Raigekiha."

The "PLAMAX Steel Jacket Sen-Oh-Maru" is based on the previously released standard version of the kit, now featuring newly molded parts for the awesome Steel Jacket armor. The main body parts have been re-cast in pearl and metallic colors, and the "Crescent Moon Spear" has also been updated to match the Steel Jacket's color scheme. The armor parts are fully removable, allowing you to display Sen-Oh-Maru in its original form. As a bonus, the kit also includes a sticker featuring the classic Sen-Oh-Maru telephone card design.

By collecting all the Steel Jacket parts from the entire lineup—including the Steel Jacket Ryu-Oh-Maru, Steel Jacket Sen-Oh-Maru, Steel Jacket Jaku-maru, Steel Jacket Gen-Oh-Maru, and Steel Jacket Ku-Oh-Maru—you can finally assemble the "Emperor Dragon," created by the Mashin blacksmith Tonkararin of Mashin Island for the world's savior!
