Renowned US-based collectible manufacturer Sideshow Collectibles is set to release an incredibly adorable "Dart, Pouncer, and Ruffrunner Baby Dragon Statue" based on DreamWorks Animation's popular "How to Train Your Dragon" film series. Priced at $250 USD, the statue is slated for release in the second quarter of 2022.
Produced by DreamWorks Animation, the fantasy animated film "How to Train Your Dragon" gained widespread popularity for its fictional Viking world and thrilling dragon battles, spawning a trilogy of films. The story is set on the island of Berk, where Vikings must battle dragons to survive, and young Vikings aim to become "dragon slayers." In an unexpected turn of events, the protagonist, Hiccup, captures a legendary and dangerous Night Fury, gradually building a bond with the dragon. Hiccup names him Toothless and discovers that simply hunting dragons won't solve their problems. Instead, mutual understanding and taming should replace it, ultimately bringing true peace to both Vikings and dragons.
The holiday special short film, "How to Train Your Dragon: Homecoming," takes place a decade after humans and dragons have grown apart. Hiccup's children are growing up, and Toothless has become a father to three baby dragons. With the arrival of Snoggletog, they all warmly reunite once again.
Sideshow Collectibles brings these three super cute baby dragons from the short film to life as a vibrant statue! Standing approximately 5.73 inches (about 14.6 cm) tall, the statue faithfully recreates their parents' distinctive black and white markings and meticulously sculpts intricate textures, scales, and tail fin details on their dragon skin. Stacked together with curious, adorable expressions and poses, these baby dragons are truly the feline equivalents of the dragon world!
▼The three baby dragons are Dart (top), Ruffrunner (middle), and Pouncer (bottom).
▼The base is designed as a blue rocky cave from the Hidden World, completing the immersive display.
