Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division today (August 25) announced the latest addition to their RG model kit series, the "EVANGELION-Dedicated Restraint and Transport Platform Set," based on "Rebuild of Evangelion." This item is slated for release in February 2022 and will be exclusively available through Bandai's official online store, Premium Bandai.
This set includes the same accessories previously bundled with the "RG Universal Humanoid Decisive Weapon Artificial Human Evangelion Unit-01 DX Ver.," featuring the EVA-dedicated restraint and transport platform and AT Field effect parts. Additionally, it comes with newly designed water-slide decals to recreate the platform's warning lines.
The EVA-dedicated restraint and transport platform is compatible with all RG Evangelion series kits. It allows the EVA unit to be securely fixed to the restraints and features a sliding mechanism to replicate the release of the shoulder and arm safety devices. The AT Field effect sheet utilizes a simple gradient color print, differing from the shinier version found in the DX set. Its central cutout design allows the EVA's hand to pass through, perfectly recreating scenes of the unit breaking through an AT Field.
