Japanese figure manufacturer FREEing has announced today (the 9th) the latest addition to their "B-Style" series, known for its exquisite 1/4 scale character figures. The new "02 Bunny Ver. 2nd" from the popular anime "DARLING in the FRANXX" is slated for release in February 2022.
The original anime "DARLING in the FRANXX," co-produced by A-1 Pictures and TRIGGER, received mixed reviews after its broadcast. However, its character designs were largely successful, particularly the deep portrayal of the heroine, "02" (Zero Two), which captured the hearts of many viewers and garnered a massive fanbase, especially in the West. Even years after the anime concluded, new merchandise like this "02 Bunny Ver. 2nd" continues to be released.
While marketed as a new product, the "02 Bunny Ver. 2nd" isn't an entirely new sculpt. Instead, it's a re-release based on the standard version from 2020. This iteration removes the fishnet stocking parts, opting for a stunning bare leg sculpt, and changes the bunny suit from glossy red to a soft, pearlescent white. Standing at an impressive 43 cm tall, the figure's powerful presence, the alluring bare leg design, and 02's signature devilish smile will surely make fans want to bring this fresh take on 02 home!
