Japanese figure manufacturer Megahouse today (30th) announced the latest addition to their large-scale illuminated statue line, the "Ultimate Article" series: "Ultraman Trigger (Multi Type)" from "Ultraman Trigger: New Generation Tiga," slated for release in March 2022.
"Ultraman Trigger: NEW GENERATION TIGA" serves as a spiritual successor to "Ultraman Tiga," revisiting the theme of "the legend of the ancient Giant of Light" after many years. It inherits familiar settings such as "the Giant of Light from thirty million years ago," "the battle between light and darkness," and "the ability to transform into three forms initially," bringing a Reiwa-era new generation Tiga.
The story unfolds thirty million years ago, when the world was engulfed by terrifying darkness. Fortunately, with the help of a Giant of Light, the darkness was sealed away in the distant cosmos, but the Giant of Light exhausted its power and fell into a long slumber. Time passes, and Earth's long-held peace comes to an end as the awakened darkness unleashes monsters to ravage the human world. Amidst this crisis, Kengo Manaka, a botanist residing on Mars, merges with the power of light, becoming the legendary giant, "Ultraman Trigger."
The "Ultimate Article Ultraman Trigger (Multi Type)" boasts an impressive height of 40 cm, meticulously recreating the in-show details and the unique wrinkle textures characteristic of a suit actor's costume. Interchangeable arm parts allow collectors to display his signature combat stance when confronting enemies, or the pose for unleashing his devastating "Zeperion Beam" special attack. The product features sound effects for transformation, blinking Color Timer, and beam attacks. Furthermore, blue and yellow LED lights are embedded in the head and chest, illuminating the forehead, eyes, and chest Color Timer when activated!
