KOTOBUKIYA, the Japanese toy company renowned for its "ARTFX J" series of exquisitely detailed anime and game character figures, is set to release its first figure from the popular TV anime "EDENS ZERO." The "ARTFX J Shiki Granbell" 1/8 scale figure is priced at 13,200 JPY and is slated for a January 2022 release.
"EDENS ZERO," the latest work from "Fairy Tail" creator Hiro Mashima, blends sci-fi elements like advanced communication technology, machinery, and time travel with a grand cosmic setting and hyper-modern VRMMO-like online worlds. The story follows Shiki Granbell (シキ・グランベル), a boy raised by the "Demon King" and robots, who possesses the Ether Gear "Satan Gravity." After befriending Rebecca, a girl who uploads videos, and the robot cat Happy, Shiki embarks on a grand adventure across space and time!
The "ARTFX J Shiki Granbell" 1/8 scale figure stands approximately 25 cm tall. Based on the TV anime's main visual, it captures Shiki in a dynamic, mid-air pose. His energetic persona is perfectly recreated, from the bandage on his left cheek to the intricate details of his boots and outfit. His spiky black hair, jacket straps, and coat tails are sculpted to appear as if fluttering in motion, while the angled base design further enhances the illusion of him floating. Furthermore, Shiki's "Ether Gear" is meticulously reproduced with glow-in-the-dark paint, allowing it to emit light in the dark, just like in the anime!
