Japanese toy manufacturer YELL (エール), renowned for its unique and amusing capsule toys, is set to release the highly anticipated second series of its popular "Kyomu" animal capsule toys. Following the success of the first "Kyomu" collection, the new "Kyomu.2" lineup will feature five different animals, all showcasing hilariously resigned and utterly vacant expressions. Each capsule toy will retail for 200 JPY, with an expected release in November 2021.
The YELL "Kyomu" animal capsule toy series is celebrated for depicting cute animals with blank, dazed, and utterly empty stares. Building on the first wave of these 'empty' animals, this new collection introduces five more adorably bewildered creatures standing stiffly: the Crocodile (ワニ), Seal (あざらし), Chihuahua (チワワ), Mole (もぐら), and Fox (きつね). Their lifeless eyes and rigid, upright poses, while simple in design, perfectly convey a sense of helpless emptiness when paired with small accessories or everyday scenes.
