Bandai's Gashapon division has unveiled developing prototypes for the latest additions to its "MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE" capsule toy series, featuring the "Strike Gundam E" and "I.W.S.P." from "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED." The "MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE" line is renowned for its universal joint system and endless customization possibilities. Further details are expected to be announced in late September.
The GAT-X105E Strike Gundam E originated from the Earth Alliance's Phantom Pain unit as part of the "Actaeon Project." This enhanced variant was developed by reproducing and improving upon the original Strike Gundam. Its most distinctive features include auxiliary thrusters on both shoulders for increased mobility and updated Variable Phase Shift (VPS) armor, characteristic of C.E. 73 models. For armament, it retains compatibility with the original machine's beam rifle and shield, and crucially, it supports the Striker Pack system. The "I.W.S.P." (Integrated Weapons Striker Pack) provides exceptional versatility, incorporating a range of weapons such as an integrated railgun, anti-ship sword, and composite shield. This particular combination later served as the foundation for the Strike Noir Gundam.
