Japanese toy company Bandai has announced the latest addition to its "Bandai Meikou" series, which blends ACG elements with ceramic goods. The new "Statues in the Gym" collectible, based on the "Pokémon" franchise, is set to release in February 2022.
The design for this unique item draws inspiration from "that pair of statues" found at the entrance of every Gym in the Kanto region, as seen in the Game Boy titles "Pokémon Red/Green/Blue/Yellow." Standing approximately 10 cm tall, these intricately detailed statues are crafted from pristine white ceramic. The front features Pokémon-style text, quoting the famous line from the NPC next to the statues: "Hello! Future Champion!" (おーす！みらいのチャンピオン！).
Remove the upper statue, and you'll discover the pillars feature a single hole and three holes, respectively... That's right! The true purpose of this product is a salt shaker and a pepper shaker! These uniquely designed and adorable utensils can be used in your kitchen or on your dining table, adding more fun to your daily life.
