World-renowned film and television special effects company, WETA Workshop, recently announced a new addition to their "Figures of Fandom" line: the 1/8 scale PVC pre-painted figure of the Uruk-hai, Lurtz, from "The Lord of the Rings"! The figure is slated for release in the second quarter of 2022.

Lurtz was the first Uruk-hai created by the White Wizard Saruman. Towards the end of "The Fellowship of the Ring," he led a contingent of Uruk-hai to ambush the Fellowship of the Ring at Amon Hen. Lurtz, with his formidable physique, possessed not only exceptional archery skills (repeatedly striking Boromir from a distance) but also immense strength and combat prowess. He nearly overwhelmed Aragorn with just a few blows. Even after Aragorn swiftly severed his right arm and pierced his abdomen, Lurtz remained fearless, cementing his status as a truly terrifying Uruk-hai and a popular villain among "The Lord of the Rings" fans.

Standing approximately 25 cm tall, this figure masterfully captures Lurtz's battle-hardened essence with incredible sculpted detail. His skin, appearing as if roasted, is covered in dark blemishes. The figure faithfully recreates his long black hair, swept back and loosely tied, along with his grimy leather attire, armor, and the satchel at his waist. His feet, visibly caked with dust from long marches, are also meticulously rendered. The menacing face, emblazoned with the White Hand symbol of Saruman's forces, is incredibly lifelike, and combined with his dynamic combat pose, the overall presentation is truly spectacular! This piece comes highly recommended for die-hard "The Lord of the Rings" fans.
