Today, GOOD SMILE COMPANY unveiled new details for "Mysterious Cat X," the latest addition to their popular Nendoroid line of Q-version articulated figures, based on the anime "Fate/Grand Carnival."
A decade after TYPE-MOON's 10th-anniversary anime "Carnival Phantasm," the highly anticipated sequel, "Fate/Grand Carnival," finally premiered in 2021. This new anime brings together various comedic shorts and features fan-favorite characters in hilariously unhinged roles. However, unlike its predecessor, this carnival is themed around the mobile game "Fate/Grand Order," meaning the Arcueid Cats from "Tsukihime" couldn't make an appearance. Instead, a new character, "Mysterious Cat X," who bears a striking resemblance to Mysterious Heroine X, takes center stage!
The "Nendoroid Mysterious Cat X" perfectly captures the character's distinctive low-proportioned body and slender limbs from the anime. Her adorable cat ears, large cat eyes, and feline mouth are intricately sculpted. The figure comes with three interchangeable face plates: a "standard expression," an elegant "closed-eye expression," and a wide-mouthed "surprised expression." These can be combined with accessories like a black telephone and a shaker cup to recreate iconic scenes from the opening, such as her elegantly mixing drinks at the bar or furiously answering a call. Additionally, a Holy Sword-shaped bamboo sword and various interchangeable hand parts are included, allowing fans to pose the boisterous and charming Mysterious Cat X in countless ways!
