Following the announcement of the DC Comics-themed Figure-rise Standard Amplified Batman, Bandai Spirits Hobby Division has now revealed new additions: the 1/35 scale model kits for the 2005 Batmobile (Batman Begins Ver.) and the 1989 Batmobile (Batman Ver.). Each kit is priced at 4,180 JPY and is slated for release in March 2022.
Directed by visionary filmmaker Tim Burton and starring Michael Keaton, the DC superhero film "Batman (1989)" was based on Frank Miller's 1986 graphic novel "Batman: The Dark Knight Returns." The "1/35 SCALE 1989 Batmobile (Batman Ver.)" model kit accurately recreates the sleek and stylish appearance of the Batmobile from "Batman (1989)" with intricate parts. It faithfully reproduces the massive circular air intake at the front, the distinctive bat-wing tail fins, and the elegant, streamlined body. The black-toned body utilizes matte-finish molded parts, giving it a sophisticated, understated texture. Furthermore, the highly anticipated sliding canopy reveals meticulously detailed internal mechanical structures, the driver's seat, and the dashboard. The kit also includes impressive parts like two deployable Browning M1919 .30 caliber machine guns and front-mounted rocket launchers, allowing for a fully armed display!
