Japanese toy giant Takara Tomy Arts (T-ARTS), known for its popular capsule toy brand, is joining the realistic insect craze! Their "Genshoku Zukan Series," which faithfully recreates insect forms in 1/1 true scale, is set to release the "Genshoku Mimicry Insects" capsule toy collection. Featuring four distinct types, each capsule will retail for 400 JPY and is slated for release in late September 2021.

The "Genshoku Zukan Series" is dedicated to authentically crafting and showcasing the ecology of mimicry insects and plants. It meticulously reproduces insects at their actual size, capturing the biological intricacies of these camouflaged creatures in terms of color, posture, and body structure.
For the T-ARTS "Genshoku Mimicry Insects" capsule toys, extensive research was conducted using actual mimicry insect specimens as reference. The series is supervised by Mr. Keiki FUKUI, a leading authority in insect specimen preservation, ensuring the most accurate possible representation of these insects. Furthermore, the figures boast intricate paint applications instead of simple molded colors, allowing for precise detailing of each insect's unique patterns.

This exciting lineup features four masters of mimicry from the insect world: the Giant Leaf Insect, Orchid Mantis, Deroplatys lobata (Dead Leaf Mantis), and Choeradodis stalii (Shield Mantis). Each figure measures approximately 4.5 to 13.3 cm, faithfully recreated in true 1/1 scale to deliver the ultimate joy of a three-dimensional encyclopedia!
