Following the announcement of their Figure-rise Standard Amplified Batman, BANDAI SPIRITS' Hobby Division has now revealed two new 1/35 scale model kits: the 1989 Batmobile (Batman Ver.) and the 2005 Batmobile (Batman Begins Ver.). Both kits are priced at 4,180 JPY and are slated for release in March 2022.
Released in 2005, Christopher Nolan's "Batman Begins" kicked off "The Dark Knight Trilogy" as a standalone Batman film. The movie delves into the origin story of Bruce Wayne (portrayed by Christian Bale) as he grapples with his fear of bats and the murder of his parents, ultimately becoming Batman. Drawing inspiration from iconic comics like "Batman: The Long Halloween" and "Batman: Year One," the film sees Batman confront formidable villains such as Ra's al Ghul and Scarecrow.
The 1/35 SCALE Batmobile (Batman Begins Ver.) model kit meticulously recreates the formidable Batmobile from "Batman Begins." It faithfully captures the Tumbler concept armored vehicle, originally developed by Wayne Enterprises' advanced military technology division, with its sharp, angular armored chassis and massive, imposing six-wheeled tires. The kit features matte molded parts, and the cockpit shield is rendered in a smoke gray molding color, emphasizing the vehicle's heavy texture and signature low-key black aesthetic. Furthermore, the tires are crafted from soft resin to realistically replicate their tread patterns. Intricate mechanical details, including the front and rear wheel suspension, various cylinders, and the rear jet engine, are also brilliantly reproduced!
