US-based toy manufacturer Mezco Toyz recently announced its latest Marvel-themed release for the 1/12 scale "ONE:12 COLLECTIVE" action figure line: Spider-Man 2099! The figure is slated for release between December 2021 and February 2022.
Spider-Man 2099, whose real name is Miguel O'Hara, is a brilliant geneticist living in a parallel world, Earth-928, in New York City in the year 2099. After an accidental incident, half of Miguel's DNA was rewritten with a spider's genetic code. He not only survived but also gained spider-like superpowers. This figure stands approximately 17 cm tall and boasts 32 points of articulation. It faithfully recreates his iconic futuristic red and blue combat suit using mixed media materials, complete with the striking spider emblem on his chest and a wired web cape for dynamic posing.
Accessories include a partially masked head sculpt, an unmasked Miguel O'Hara head sculpt, a wrist-mounted communicator, another communicator projecting an image of his AI assistant "Lyla," a generous assortment of web effects, and multiple interchangeable hands. The display base also features a cool Spider-Man 2099 graphic. For many collectors, this Spider-Man 2099 action figure has surely been a long-awaited release!
