World-renowned pinball manufacturer Stern Pinball has partnered with Japan's Toho to unleash a new, monster-fan-frenzy-inducing pinball machine themed after the popular kaiju, Godzilla. The new "The Godzilla Pinball Machines" will be available in Pro, Premium, and Limited Edition versions.
The core concept of these new machines is to immerse players as Godzilla, teaming up with allied kaiju Mothra, Rodan, and Anguirus to fend off a massive invasion by monsters controlled by the Xiliens, including King Ghidorah, Gigan, Megalon, and Ebirah. As players hit the ball, they'll experience immense satisfaction from the rich features, stunning monster artwork, and detailed three-dimensional models. The gameplay integrates elements like collapsing buildings, breaking bridges during kaiju invasions, and human attacks on monsters, creating an ultimate experience.
The three versions—Pro, Premium, and Limited Edition—also feature distinct mechanisms and gameplay variations. For instance, the Premium and Limited Edition models include a Mechagodzilla figure whose belly can be attacked to trigger events, a separating bridge, and collapsing buildings. The Limited Edition, in particular, boasts more luxurious specifications, coming with a numbered plaque, certificate, and more. Notably, all Godzilla pinball machines are equipped with a QR code scanning connectivity system to enhance the gameplay experience, though this feature is slated to officially launch next year.
