Legendary Japanese toy company Kaiyodo has announced the latest addition to its popular movie-themed action figure line, "FIGURE COMPLEX MOVIE REVO": a new figure of Disney's Mickey Mouse! In a fantastic nod to his history, Mickey will be released in both a standard full-color and a classic Monotone Color version, both slated for a late January 2022 release.
It's been over 90 years since his 1928 debut, and Mickey Mouse remains Disney's most iconic and beloved character. The 1930s marked his historic transition from black and white to glorious color. This new Movie Revo Mickey, based on his 1936 design, stands approximately 10.5 cm tall and perfectly captures his signature features: the rounded curves, solid pie-eyes, red shorts, and big yellow shoes. In addition to 22 points of articulation, the figure includes multiple arm parts with varying bends, allowing for an even wider range of expressive posing!
Accessories include four interchangeable face plates for various expressions, multiple sets of hands, and onomatopoeia effect sheets featuring exclamation points and question marks. Paired with the display stand, you can recreate countless dynamic scenes. The Monotone version comes with the exact same figure and accessory loadout as the standard release, but everything is rendered in a grayscale palette to evoke the classic look of early black-and-white cinema. Looks like we might just have to grab both versions!
