BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division recently announced the upcoming release of the "HG 1/72 Nyuren" model kit, based on the original anime series "AMAIM Warrior at the Borderline," set to launch in February 2022 as part of their "HG (HIGH GRADE)" series.

Designed by mechanical designer Ippei Gyobu, the Nyuren (ニュウレン) is a mass-production AMAIM utilized by the Asian Free Trade Alliance in the series, featuring strong East Asian influences in both its name and design. The kit faithfully recreates its in-show appearance with two distinct shades of red and intricate detail sculpting. It comes packed with a wide array of armaments, including a rifle, axe, missile launcher, and shield. The rifle's magazine is detachable and can be stored inside the shield, while the missile launcher even features sculpted internal missiles.

"AMAIM Warrior at the Borderline" is the first original anime from SUNRISE BEYOND, a studio known for its work on "Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE" and "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans Urthr Hunt." The story is set in 2061 AD, where Japan has been divided and controlled by the world's four major economic blocs. Its people are treated as slaves of a subordinate nation, and the country has become a frontline battlefield where various factions deploy humanoid special mobile weapons called "AMAIMs." The protagonist, Amou Shiiba, is a 16-year-old boy who loves machines and collects parts. One day, his encounter with the autonomous AI "Gai" sparks a turning point. Amou will pilot his self-built AMAIM, "Kenbu," to fight for the reclamation of Japan.
