BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division has announced the latest addition to their "HG (HIGH GRADE)" plastic model kit series, the "HG 1/72 Brady Hound (Brad's Custom)" from the original anime "Kyoukai Senki," slated for release in January 2022.
The Brady Hound (Brad's Custom) is a specialized unit piloted by a North American Alliance commander in the series. This kit is based on the mass production type Brady Hound, featuring a distinctive indigo-toned molded color unique to commander units. It also utilizes clear parts to faithfully recreate the head sculpt, which differs from the mass production model.
For weaponry, the kit includes a dedicated rifle (equipped with a grenade launcher) and two long swords. The head can also be swapped to display its parked state. Furthermore, it can be mounted beneath the separately sold "HG 1/72 Shirogami Transport Aircraft" to recreate transport scenes!

"Kyoukai Senki" is the first original anime from SUNRISE BEYOND, a studio known for its work on "Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE" and "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans Urthr Hunt." The story is set in 2061 AD, where Japan has been divided and ruled by the world's four major economic blocs. Its people are treated as slaves of a subordinate nation, and the country has become a frontline battlefield where various factions deploy humanoid special mobile weapons called "AMAIM." The protagonist, Amou Shiiba, is a 16-year-old boy who loves machines and collects parts. One day, a fateful encounter with the autonomous AI "Gai" gives him a purpose. Amou will pilot his self-built AMAIM, "Kenbu," to fight for the reclamation of Japan.
