If there's one collectible line that seems endless, with over a thousand releases, it's definitely Funko Pop! Vinyl! Following their Pop! Animation figures from Cartoon Network shows like Dexter's Laboratory and Johnny Bravo, American toy manufacturer Funko has now unveiled two new additions from the classic cartoon "Cow and Chicken": Chicken and Supercow! These are slated for a December 2021 release.
"Momma had a little chicken, Momma had a little cow, Dad was proud, he didn't care how~♫"
For collectors who grew up in the 70s and 80s, the familiar cartoon "Cow and Chicken," produced by David Feiss, originally aired on Cartoon Network from 1997 to 1999. This zany American comedy depicted the daily lives of the timid yet arrogant older brother, Chicken, and his younger sister, Cow, who could transform into Supercow during emergencies, along with their friends. The show was known for its illogical, exaggerated, and even crude humor, delivering a blend of avant-garde, dark comedy, and satire that left viewers with a strong "What did I just watch?" appeal.
Reimagining the characters in the series' distinctive style, the "Pop! Animation Chicken" and "Pop! Animation Supercow" figures stand 3.75 inches tall. They amplify the already exaggerated proportions of the original animation, faithfully capturing Chicken's massive eyeballs and a face that's almost entirely mouth. His signature beady eyes give him a somewhat gentle and cute appearance. Cow, on the other hand, is presented in her Supercow transformation, complete with her large nostrils and exposed udders – no detail was spared! The tiny cape behind her is also quite adorable!
