Bandai Co., Ltd. today announced the first entry in their brand-new "Chodokyu Series" line of action figures, the "Megaton-kyu Musashi," based on the super robot title "Megaton-kyu Musashi." This highly anticipated figure is slated for a February 2022 release.
"Megaton-kyu Musashi" is a cross-media project developed by Japanese game developer LEVEL-5. Set in the near future, Earth has been devastated and invaded by an alien force. The remnants of humanity have taken refuge in the last bastion, the "Ixia Shelter," where altered memories allow most to live a life of false peace. However, with Earth facing an existential crisis, a select few "chosen ones" must bear the burden of protecting the planet, piloting massive super robots known as "Rogues" to fight the alien invaders. The "Megaton-kyu Musashi" anime series is set to begin airing on October 1st, with the eponymous role-playing game scheduled for release on November 11th.
The "Chodokyu Series Megaton-kyu Musashi" figure's design is fully supervised by LEVEL-5, meticulously recreating the Megaton-kyu Musashi's hefty armor design and vibrant colors at a height of 13 centimeters. With highly articulated joints and two "Greatswords" included, collectors can pose the figure in dynamic and powerful battle stances! The product also comes with a clear display stand shaped like a transport aircraft, allowing fans to recreate the impressive aerial combination scene known as "SKY BUILD"!
