Bandai Candy, the Shokugan division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., today (01) announced the latest addition to its "SHODO SUPER" series: the "Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger" action figure set, slated for release in March 2022. The "SHODO SUPER" line is renowned for condensing exceptional sculpting, articulation, and paint applications into a palm-sized 10cm format.
"Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger" is the 16th installment in Toei's iconic "Super Sentai" series, originally broadcast in 1992. The story follows the villainous Witch Bandora and her minions, who, after being sealed away on a distant planet by guardian beasts, are accidentally freed. Bent on revenge and the destruction of Earth, their reawakening also stirs five ancient warriors from their slumber: the Tyranno Ranger, Mammoth Ranger, Tricera Ranger, Tiger Ranger, and Ptera Ranger. Later joined by the Dragon Ranger, these heroes form the Zyurangers to combat the evil Witch Bandora.
The "SHODO SUPER Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger" set brings together all six ancient warriors from the series as highly articulated action figures. Each figure meticulously recreates their on-screen appearance with flexible articulation and exquisite paintwork. The set includes multiple interchangeable hand parts and dedicated weapons for each Ranger, allowing collectors to recreate a wide array of dynamic battle poses!
The extensive arsenal includes the Tyranno Sword for the Tyranno Ranger, the Mammoth Breaker for the Mammoth Ranger, the Tricera Lance for the Tricera Ranger, the Saber Daggers for the Tiger Ranger, the Ptera Arrow for the Ptera Ranger, and the Zyusouken for the Dragon Ranger. Additionally, a universal Ranger Stick is included. The initial five Rangers' individual weapons can even combine to form the powerful Howling Cannon!
Thanks to the shared hand sculpts, weapons can be freely interchanged among the different warriors. Furthermore, the Dragon Ranger's golden upper body armor, the "Dragon Armor," can be removed and equipped onto the Tyranno Ranger, perfectly recreating his powered-up form after inheriting the Dragon Ranger's abilities!
