The enemy Mashin are here! Max Factory's PLAMAX model kit brand, known for its numerous releases from "Mashin Hero Wataru", is set to launch the villainous Mashin units, the "Second Gun" and "Third Gun", in January 2022.
Fans are undoubtedly familiar with and fond of "Mashin Hero Wataru"! Produced by the renowned Sunrise studio, the original series first aired on April 15, 1988, running for 45 episodes. Its charming premise, featuring protagonist Wataru Ikusabe and his Mashin robot companions, captivated many viewers. The franchise later expanded with a second season, "Super Mashin Hero Wataru", several OVA releases, and most recently, the nine-episode web anime "Mashin Hero Wataru: The Seven Spirits of Ryujinmaru" last year, a testament to its enduring appeal.
The PLAMAX "Second Gun" is a faithful recreation of the Mashin piloted by "Cruising Tom" in the original series, capable of transforming into a flight mode. What's more, this kit offers a unique feature: by choosing alternative parts, builders can also construct the "Third Gun", which was depicted as an enhanced version of the Second Gun in the anime. This allows collectors to complete either Mashin through a single 2-in-1 assembly.
It's worth noting that the standard edition of this kit is a 2-in-1 build, allowing you to choose between the Second Gun and Third Gun.
