Following the popular "Tokyo Revengers" prize figures featuring Takemichi Hanagaki, Manjiro Sano, and Ken Ryuguji, BANPRESTO, a prize figure brand under Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS company, is set to release highly anticipated follow-up figures of Chifuyu Matsuno and Keisuke Baji. These figures will be available as prize items from October to November 2021.
Authored by Japanese manga artist Ken Wakui, the intense manga series "Tokyo Revengers" (東京卍リベンジャーズ) received an anime adaptation in 2021. The story follows protagonist Takemichi Hanagaki, a down-on-his-luck part-timer. After learning his first love, Hinata Tachibana, died in a conflict involving the Kanto region's most notorious gang, the "Tokyo Manji Gang (Toman)," Takemichi himself is sent 12 years into the past to his middle school days after an accident. Determined to save his girlfriend and change his own cowardly ways, Takemichi befriends the gang's leader, Manjiro Sano, and his second-in-command, Ken Ryuguji, embarking on a journey of revenge and redemption.
The BANPRESTO "Tokyo Revengers" prize figure series takes its design cues from the anime's official visual art. While the poses are straightforward standing stances, collecting the entire lineup creates an impressive display, capturing the powerful presence of the delinquent gang.
This latest release features the Tokyo Manji Gang's First Division Captain, Keisuke Baji, and First Division Vice-Captain, Chifuyu Matsuno. Standing approximately 17 cm and 16 cm tall respectively, they are depicted in their fierce special attack uniforms, complete with golden "Tenjō Tenge Yuiga Dokuson" (天上天下唯我独尊 - "I alone am honored throughout heaven and earth") lettering. Baji's cool, flowing black hair and Chifuyu's hot-blooded demeanor make them essential additions to any collection!
