Calling all Tomica collectors! TAKARA TOMY is launching a brand new series under its Tomica line: "TOMICA PREMIUM unlimited". This new collection will feature iconic vehicles from famous movies, anime, and TV shows. The first wave includes three models and is scheduled for release on November 20, 2021!
The Tomica die-cast car series is a staple for any automotive toy enthusiast. With the new "TOMICA PREMIUM unlimited" line, the goal is to reignite that excitement by recreating memorable vehicles from pop culture, creating a series that appeals not just to kids, but to adult collectors as well.
The first three releases are all heavy hitters! First up at number 01 is the MAZDA RX-7 from "The Fast and the Furious" franchise. Fans will instantly recognize this as the signature ride of Han Lue, played by Sung Kang, in "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift". While Han has moved on to other cars since his return in F9, this iconic RX-7 is a must-have for any fan of the series.
Number 02 is Shuichi Akai's beloved Ford Mustang GT500 from "Detective Conan". This red and white Shelby Mustang is the vehicle of choice for the ace driver Akai. As a special detail in this Tomica release, the opening doors reveal the custom seat pattern!
Rounding out the launch wave at number 03 is the legendary K.I.T.T. 2000 from the classic American TV series "Knight Rider". This black Pontiac, which saw protagonist Michael Knight through countless life-or-death situations, is based on a modified Pontiac Firebird. Tomica has perfectly recreated its famous details, including the red scanner light on the front bumper and the unique yoke-style steering wheel visible when you open the doors.
