Following the successful relaunch of Bandai Japan's "Digimon Collection" series, which began with Wave 1 and Wave 2 based on the 1998 "Digimon Adventure," the line is now expanding to feature characters from the new TV anime "Digimon Ghost Game." The "Digimon Collection Gammamon, Angoramon, and Jellymon" are set to join the series! Each figure will retail for 880 JPY, with pre-orders currently open on Amazon Japan and a release date scheduled for October 30, 2021.
"Digimon Ghost Game" (デジモンゴーストゲーム), the ninth television anime series in the Digimon franchise, premiered on Fuji TV on October 3, 2021. It serves as a promotional tie-in for Bandai's "Digimon Vital Bracelet." The story follows protagonist Hiro Amanokawa, who, after activating a mysterious device called the "Vital Bracelet Digivice-V" left behind by his father, gains the ability to see unseen creatures—Digimon. He encounters Gammamon, and together they embark on adventures in a fantastical world inhabited by "Hologram Ghosts."
This release brings the three main Digimon from the show—Gammamon, Angoramon, and Jellymon—to life with the "Digimon Collection" series' signature style. A fun interactive feature allows collectors to "capture" the Digimon within a cage. Beyond faithfully recreating each Digimon's characteristic design and paintwork, the figures come with cages that can be opened and stacked, creating the perfect atmosphere for raising your own digital monsters!
