Japanese up-and-coming brand STAR SPACE (スタースペース) is making a major splash with the announcement of their "Evangelion Wonder Statue Shikinami Asuka Langley" 1/4 scale large-scale statue, based on the globally popular film "Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance"! Priced at 88,000 JPY, pre-orders are now open at the online store "Tokyo Figure (東京フィギュア)"!
In the "Rebuild of Evangelion" film series, Shikinami Asuka Langley's body remains that of a 14-year-old due to the "Curse of Eva," showing little change in her appearance. However, her left eye is covered by a black eyepatch for unknown reasons, and she sports a redesigned Plugsuit. As the story progresses, she joins the anti-NERV organization "WILLE," led by Misato Katsuragi, to combat NERV's Evangelions, piloting the modified EVA Unit-02'.
Sculptor Miyakawa Take has reinterpreted Shikinami Asuka Langley in his unique style for this "Evangelion Wonder Statue" 1/4 scale large-scale statue, bringing to life Asuka wielding the Spear of Cassius! Standing an impressive 62 cm tall (including the spear), every detail has been meticulously crafted for high quality. Her vibrant red Plugsuit, with its beautiful luster, perfectly accentuates Asuka's slender and graceful body lines, creating a distinctive aesthetic. The arms feature a honeycomb pattern, adding to the realism and texture. Her facial expression carries a different aura from the original work, while her flowing hair and the bandages wrapped around her hand add a dynamic sense of movement.
