Good Smile Company, the renowned Japanese figure manufacturer, recently announced new additions to its "HELLO! GOOD SMILE" figure series. Coming from the popular original anime "KILL la KILL," which is celebrating its 8th anniversary, these new figures feature fan-favorite characters Ryuko Matoi, Satsuki Kiryuin, and Mako Mankanshoku, with an anticipated release in April 2022.

"KILL la KILL" is an original anime series produced by Japanese animation studio TRIGGER, first released in 2013. Led by "Gurren Lagann" director Hiroyuki Imaishi and scriptwriter Kazuki Nakashima, the series is celebrated for its exaggerated, powerful animation and unpredictable plot developments. Interestingly, the creative and art director for this new "HELLO! GOOD SMILE" series is none other than KOYAMASHIGETO (コヤマシゲト), who has contributed to numerous TRIGGER anime productions and served as the art director for the original "KILL la KILL" anime.

The "HELLO! GOOD SMILE Ryuko Matoi / Satsuki Kiryuin / Mako Mankanshoku" figures boast a refined, chibi-style design with a low head-to-body ratio. Each figure features a cute, cartoonish aesthetic achieved through vibrant color blocking. They come with a fixed smiling expression and pose, while still meticulously capturing the distinct hairstyles and costume details of each character. Adding to the fun, their necks are designed to swivel left and right, offering a touch more display versatility for collectors.
