Hello everyone! Today, we're excited to bring you an unboxing and review of the Hot Toys Iron Man Rescue Armor. This suit made its debut in the film "Avengers: Endgame," having been created by Tony Stark for Pepper Potts. Designated as MK49, this armor was actually completed even before the events of "Avengers: Infinity War."
Among the many Iron Man armors featured in the films, this one particularly stands out as the only suit designed with a distinctly feminine aesthetic. While a blue-centric color scheme isn't entirely new for Iron Man armor, its striking red and blue combination, especially when fighting alongside Tony, created some truly dynamic and memorable on-screen moments. And, of course, its impressive performance in the movie, easily matching that of other superheroes, left a lasting impression.
Let's dive into the photos, starting with the outer box.
Outer Box
I'm genuinely puzzled as to why Hot Toys chose to render the gold sections of this armor, particularly the faceplate, as silver on both the outer box and official promotional images. It's confusing, especially since the actual product features clear gold accents. What's the intention behind this color discrepancy?

Figure Overview
I think the overall sculpt and proportions are quite stunning.
Detailing
As an armor designed for a female wearer, the helmet's design reflects this consideration. The face shape is more slender and pointed, and the eyes are less angular, giving it a less masculine overall appearance.
Historically, Hot Toys' Iron Man figures often feature subtle battle damage paint applications. However, perhaps considering this might be Pepper Potts' first time wearing the suit, there are no battle-damaged effects present on this figure.
It's been a while since we've seen such meticulous detail on the back of an Iron Man armor; it features a total of three layered panels that can be lifted.

Additional Hand Accessories
These incredibly cool floating drone units feature bendable connections on each segment. To attach them, you first need to replace the battery cover on the back of the figure with a slotted accessory.
Blast Effect Parts
When I first saw these, my mind immediately went to the "Southern Brightness Fire Sword" from the early Hong Kong film "Zu Warriors from the Magic Mountain"!
Display Base
Once the batteries are installed and the lights are on, there are quite a few illuminated sections. This, of course, means you'll be installing quite a few batteries! LOL.
That pretty much covers the contents! While pre-orders for this Rescue Armor haven't fully shipped in Taiwan, its popularity has significantly cooled, with price drops becoming common. However, the product itself has no issues and looks fantastic overall. For collectors who missed out on the initial pre-order, now might be a great time to snag it at a bargain.
