GOOD SMILE COMPANY, a leading Japanese manufacturer, is expanding its popular "Nendoroid" series, which boasts over a thousand unique figures, with new additions from the hit anime "Godzilla Singular Point"! Following the previously announced Nendoroid Mei Kamino and Nendoroid Pelops II, fans can now look forward to the release of Nendoroid Yun Arikawa. This highly anticipated Nendoroid Yun Arikawa will have a suggested retail price of 6,400 JPY and is scheduled for release in July 2022.
Directed by Atsushi Takahashi and co-produced by studios BONES and Orange, the entirely new anime series "Godzilla Singular Point" features a story penned by writer Toh Enjoe. The series breaks away from traditional Japanese kaiju film tropes, presenting a complex world, rich scientific theories, and abundant sci-fi elements. Through the gradual unraveling of mysteries by human protagonists—the genius scientist Mei Kamino and AI researcher Yun Arikawa—the anime indirectly portrays the enigma and allure of the kaiju. The show is also packed with Easter eggs and homages to classic "Godzilla" works, adding an extra layer of enjoyment for viewers.
Standing approximately 10 cm tall, the "Nendoroid Yun Arikawa" transforms the genius engineer from Otaki Factory, who also works as a part-time handyman, into an adorable Q-style Nendoroid. The figure faithfully recreates Yun with his silver-rimmed glasses, casually styled silver, slightly wavy hair, and the Otaki Factory uniform jacket. He comes with two interchangeable face plates: a calm "standard expression" and a "shouting face" for moments of crisis. Additionally, accessories include a gas mask, a laptop, a smartphone, and an OD device (complete with its box), allowing collectors to recreate various scenes from the series!
