Japanese brand MECHA SMILE today announced the latest addition to its MODEROID model kit series, the "HAL-X10" from "Patlabor," scheduled for release in May 2022.
The HAL-X10 is a prototype heavy attack Labor jointly developed by Hishii Industries and Shinohara Heavy Industries, operated by the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF). This unit boasts tank-like heavy armor and a turret. Its chassis features a quad-legged walking design, offering high mobility adaptable to various terrains. It can also deploy high-speed wheels or be equipped with low-altitude hover units, showcasing exceptional versatility.
The "MODEROID HAL-X10" kit is produced in 1/60 scale. Its sculpt precisely recreates the turret's armor details, internal cockpit, rocket launchers, and sealed joints. Thanks to the flexible articulation in its legs, it can recreate scenes of multi-legged walking and hover-gliding. The feet can be swapped with TV version wheel parts, and the tail-mounted hover unit can also be detached, allowing you to enjoy the HAL-X10's various signature mechanisms.
