Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya has announced the latest addition to its new entry-level model kit series, "EVOROIDS," with the reveal of "F-GAO-G1 Fangao," slated for release in April 2022.
The "EVOROIDS" line is a brand-new robot model kit series designed for ages 8 and up. It brings together mechanical designer Kunio Okawara, manga artist Koichi Tokita, and toy design/planning company ASTRAYS, carrying on the legacy of the 1980s "OMOROID" toy series, which also featured designs by Okawara and Tokita. The featured mecha boast a compact, low-proportioned design, making them significantly easier to assemble than previous Kotobukiya products, and each unit can transform into two distinct forms.
This latest release introduces "F-GAO-G1 Fangao," a warrior from the EVOBEAST Army. The kit comes molded in five distinct colors: orange, red, gunmetal, clear red, and clear blue. Utilizing standardized 3mm pegs and a core block system, it allows for easy assembly to recreate both its robot form and its transformed lion mode. Furthermore, parts can be interchanged with other units from the same series, as well as Kotobukiya's M.S.G (Modeling Support Goods), Frame Arms, Hexa Gear, and other 3mm peg-compatible model kits for extensive customization!
