This Hi-ν isn't *that* Hi-ν.
Today we're showcasing a custom build of the Master Grade Hi-ν Gundam, fully equipped with its HWS (Heavy Weapons System) armor.
Just to be clear, this is the MG, not the recently released, red-hot RG version!
The core concept for this project was to repaint the Hi-ν Gundam in the original ν Gundam's classic color scheme. As you can imagine, this required a major overhaul of nearly every part.
Our first shot shows off the kit's full arsenal. During the build process, a special burnt titanium metallic finish was used to add exquisite detail and accents to each weapon. Without further ado, let's get right to the gallery.
The Hi-ν Gundam itself!
The color separation follows the original ν Gundam's iconic layout, but with some extra orange added to the mix. For subtle detailing, we kept some of the Hi-ν's signature purple as an accent color.
While the new RG kit is getting rave reviews, the MG version is still an absolutely incredible sight. The muscular lines of the legs are my favorite part of this design, and the sharp angles of the hands and shoulder armor are also incredibly appealing.
It may look like the ν Gundam, but don't forget—this is the Hi-ν at its core! What do you all think of this custom color scheme?
A close-up of the Fin Funnels!
We've retained the original gradient effect, but this time using a red gradation to match the new theme.
Time to deploy the funnels!
With the Fin Funnels ready for action, deploying the full loadout should be no problem at all. Here are ten straight shots for you to enjoy.
My absolute favorite part of this build is the burnt titanium effect used to accent the various weapon systems. What do you think of these subtle, hidden details?
And now for the main event! Equipping the HWS armor!
Once the armor is on, it feels like a completely different mobile suit, transforming into a heavily armored, powerhouse machine! We'll wrap things up with a variety of shots from different angles.
