Bandai Candy, the shokugan division of Bandai Co., Ltd., is expanding its "EVA-FRAME" series, which features highly articulated designs based on the "Rebuild of Evangelion" films. Following previous releases like the first wave, the Yashima Operation Set, the second wave, and the "Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo" Final Battle Set, they are now launching the third installment: "EVA-FRAME: Evangelion New Theatrical Edition 03" highly articulated frame shokugan. Each box will retail for 590 JPY, with a total of eight different types available, slated for release in April 2022.
The "EVA-FRAME" series shokugan is renowned for its highly flexible articulation, achieved through an integrated movable frame structure. The third wave, "EVA-FRAME: Evangelion New Theatrical Edition 03," features three iconic EVAs from the final chapter: EVA Unit-02α, EVA Modified Unit-08γ, and EVA Mark.06. The parts for each EVA are divided into two sets—one containing the articulated frame and another with the armor (restraints)—totaling six types. Collecting these allows you to assemble the complete EVA units. Additionally, there are two types of Weapon Sets available for customizing the units.
●EVA Unit-02α
Standing approximately 11 cm tall, this figure meticulously recreates the intricate armor layers and booster lines seen in the film. It's divided into two parts: upper body (A part) and lower body (B part). When combined with the Weapon Set, you can recreate dynamic battle scenes featuring a barrage of missiles, a massive three-barreled Gatling gun, and a large circular saw.
●EVA Modified Unit-08γ
This rendition captures the repaired arms, now equipped with complex mechanical exoskeleton power-assist systems. Weapon Set B allows for interchangeable arm configurations.
●EVA Mark.06
The Mark.06 features newly sculpted parts for its frame's arm sections, accurately reproducing the unit's distinctive characteristics.
