Hong Kong-based toy manufacturer Soap Studio yesterday (20th) announced their latest "Tom and Jerry" collectibles: the "Tom" and "Jerry & Tuffy" Royal Court figures! These are slated for a December 2021 release.
This new "Tom and Jerry" series reinterprets the beloved characters in a medieval European royal style. The lineup features a 30 cm tall "King Tom" and a 15 cm tall "Knight Jerry & Knight Tuffy." King Tom exudes an air of undeniable arrogance, sporting a golden crown and a soft cape, lounging regally on a ruby-studded golden throne. His gaze, looking down from above, conveys the impression of an emperor who has tasted all the world's delicacies and experienced every extravagance, now utterly disinterested in anything.
Next, we have Jerry and Tuffy in their knightly attire. Jerry embodies the spirit of a royal guardian knight, with a fierce expression that makes you hesitate to underestimate him despite his tiny stature (after all, everyone knows Jerry can be quite aggressive!). His hands are posed as if ready to draw his broadsword at any moment, and the addition of the cape completes his cool look. Tuffy, while also in a guard stance with both hands resting on a longsword, still maintains his adorable charm with his signature white diaper, a nod to his perpetually baby-like status in the animated series.
