Following the VF-31AX Kairos Plus (Hayate Immelmann Unit), BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division's TAMASHII NATIONS has announced the second new unit from "Macross Delta the Movie: Absolute LIVE!!!!!!" for their transforming alloy toy series, "DX Chogokin". The "VF-31AX Kairos Plus (Mirage Farina Jenius Unit)" is slated for release in March 2022.
The new VF-31AX Kairos Plus, which appears in the movie, is an emergency modification based on the VF-31A Kairos, utilizing spare parts from the VF-31 Siegfried series. It replaces the Siegfried units that sustained moderate damage after battle, featuring a large Fold Quartz / Gunpod and an all-around display, with overall performance and equipment significantly enhanced.
The "DX Chogokin VF-31AX Kairos Plus (Mirage Farina Jenius Unit)" is based on the first release but incorporates new parts to accurately reproduce the unique head sculpt of Mirage's unit in BATTROID mode. The entire unit boasts rich paint applications and detailed printing, faithfully recreating Mirage's signature colors and personal emblem.
As with previous releases in the line, this figure features a precisely engineered complete transformation mechanism between its FIGHTER, GERWALK, and BATTROID modes, along with excellent articulation. It can be posed with various interchangeable hand parts and its combat knife. The transparent cockpit canopy also includes an opening gimmick, allowing the included Mirage pilot figure to be seated inside.
