Following the popular "Shoto Todoroki" and "Shoto Todoroki Special Color Edition" releases from "My Hero Academia," Kotobukiya's "ARTFX J" series, known for its exquisitely detailed anime and game character figures, is once again launching the highly anticipated "ARTFX J Shoto Todoroki Ver.2" 1/8 scale figure! It will retail for 16,500 JPY and is scheduled for release in June 2022.
In "My Hero Academia," Shoto Todoroki, the visually striking student from U.A. High School's Class 1-A Hero Course, is the son of the No. 2 Hero (who becomes No. 1 after All Might's retirement), "Endeavor." He inherited the incredibly powerful "Half-Cold Half-Hot" Quirk from both his parents: his mother's ability to generate ice from his right side and his father's ability to create flames from his left side. Raised by his father as a tool to surpass All Might, Shoto developed a strong competitive spirit and an aloof personality, initially refusing to use the "Hot" power from his left side. However, as the story progresses, Shoto's heart gradually begins to change.
The "ARTFX J Shoto Todoroki Ver.2" 1/8 scale figure stands approximately 26 cm tall and makes its return with a brand-new costume! Shoto's distinctive white and red dual-colored hair, sharp gaze, and the intricate details of his hero costume, including the folds, shadow paintwork, small bottles on his belt, and fabric textures, are all faithfully recreated. The figure captures a dynamic battle moment as he unleashes his Half-Cold Half-Hot Quirk, with roaring flames encircling his left forearm and magnificent ice effects forming around his right foot, conveying Shoto's overwhelming power!
