With the annual Taipei Toy Festival (TTF), a major event for toy collectors, being postponed in 2021 due to the pandemic, fans were understandably disappointed. But there's good news! The Taipei-based toy shop Paradise announced today (Nov. 26) that it will be hosting its own "Booth A33" event in November 2021! The event is expected to feature an extensive collection of works from designers across Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Japan, and the lineup is absolutely thrilling.
Booth A33
Event Dates: November 5 (Fri) – November 7 (Sun), 2021
Event Address: Paradise, No. 75, Lane 161, Section 1, Dunhua South Road, Taipei City
The event's name, "Booth A33," comes from the booth number that Paradise was originally assigned for the 18th TTF. Although the convention was canceled for the year, Paradise is bringing its entire planned showcase back to its own store! Based on the main event visual illustrated by Taiwanese artist Robin Tang, Booth A33 will gather new works from a multitude of designers. From Taiwan, the lineup includes Robin Tang Antics, Momoco Studio, SHON SIDE, ODOM Studio, Vivian Wang Studio, and new releases from Funk Toy!
From Japan, the roster features popular artists such as T9G, Shoko Nakazawa, Konatsu, Dehara, Baccan—known for creating adorable monsters using mixed media—and Headlock Studio, the force behind many smash-hit sofubi toys. Representing Hong Kong, toy brand How2work will be presenting new works from artists like Kasing Lung, 009, and Kohei Ogawa. The hype is real! Be sure to keep an eye on the official Paradise Facebook page and follow your favorite artists for more information and reveals as they are announced.
