GOOD SMILE COMPANY's popular "Nendoroid" series, boasting over a thousand products, has announced the "Nendoroid Kars" action figure. This new collectible is based on the second part of the TV anime "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure," titled "Battle Tendency." It is priced at 5,478 JPY and is scheduled for release in April 2022.
Kars (カーズ), the ultimate antagonist of "Battle Tendency," is the leader of the Pillar Men who fell into slumber 2,000 years ago. He possesses a ruthless personality and immense intellect, willing to do anything to achieve his goals. To conquer the sun and further evolve, he created the Stone Mask. The initial Stone Masks couldn't unlock the Pillar Men's full potential, only enhancing their bodies, granting them "Ryūhō" (Flowing Method) abilities, and turning humans into vampires. Later in the story, by combining the Stone Mask with the Red Stone of Aja, Kars evolved into the "Ultimate Life Form," becoming an invincible, supreme being on Earth.
The "Nendoroid Kars," depicting the Pillar Man in his Ultimate Life Form, is meticulously designed based on his TV anime appearance. Despite the chibi Nendoroid style, it faithfully captures Kars' luxurious long, curly hair, handsome yet feminine features, and muscular physique. In addition to a swappable head sculpt with a turban, he comes with three face plates: a cool standard expression, a mocking smirk, and a provocative tongue-out face. These can be combined with various interchangeable hand parts and accessories, including his Light Mode: Kōsai Katana (blades of light) and the squirrel he created after becoming the Ultimate Life Form, allowing fans to recreate numerous iconic scenes from the series.
